Its official the kaftan is staging a revival and being recognised at last for its beauty, elegance and functionality. Long stigmatised as a remnant from the 1970s and a watch-word for uncool, the kaftan slipped from the fashion scene, being replaced by the more revealing sarong.
Well this year has seen a kaftan resurgence and we think that it’s here to stay as a beach favourite. Our new spring/summer collection contains a handmade, limited edition, jewel-encrusted kaftan that featured in the Daily Telegraph on 14 May. The ‘Secret Garden Kimono Dress’ is available in three colours and can be accessorised with a matching purse and beach bag. We also have an extensive range of other beachwear pieces, including sarongs, blouses, tunics and sundresses: you can visit the beach shop here
The real joy of a kaftan is that it suits all body shapes and all ages: it can be worn alone or with jeans, short or long and is always easy to accessorise. It is now the must-have beach accessory, wore by numerous, high profile celebrities. To read the coverage about our kaftan in the Daily Telegraph click here
